Nebraska doctors are facing a proposed bill that would block the use of webcams to prescribe early stage abortion medications.
Senator Tony Fulton’s bill would require the physical presence of a doctor and patient when dispensing the drugs mifepristone and misoprostol.
Opposing lawmakers claim that that the measure could harm the future of telemedicine and force women to travel long distances for an abortion.
Many feel that the bill is part of an ongoing attack on womens health rights.
